OK, make that a lot sore: After the Penguins’ 3-0 win, coach Mike Sullivan revealed that Hagelin is the latest name added to the ever-growing list of injured Pittsburgh players. He has “a lower-body injury and will probably be out for a minimum of four weeks,” according to the team.
Hagelin has 22 points in 61 games this season, with six goals. He’s battled through injuries this season, including a concussion. He most recently was playing on line with Phil Kessel and Evgeni Malkin.
And yet with this win, and the Washington Capitals’ loss to the Los Angeles Kings, the Penguins are just one point out of first in the Metro and the NHL overall.
