Essendon off-season recruit Jake Stringer cut short a holiday to join some of his new teammates at training, but it was the 23-year-old’s ink that stole the show.
Stringer had been enjoying some time off in the States but was snapped shirtless alongside Jake Long on Friday, with the photo shared to the Bombers Twitter.

Is his belly-button the Lion’s mouth?
If so, he better pretend to make it roar, and feed the Lion treats.

Are you sure Dogs you didn’t piss off Stringer based on that tattoo? Because it’s ok if you did.

This is the first time I’ve seen Stringer’s belly tattoo. Add it to the list of things I wish I could un-see https://t.co/Im9PYNBK0U

All we can think of is David Bowie in Labyrinth.
While he may have made a questionable decision with the tattoo, Bombers fans can get excited that the former All Australian is building towards a big season.
“I’m just making sure I could spend enough time to get myself right to go for the start of pre-season, so if that meant cutting the trip a little bit short then that’s what I had to do,” Stringer told essendonfc.com.au.
Stringer joins Devon Smith and Adam Saad as new recruits to Essendon this off-season.
The forward was traded from Western Bulldogs after 160 goals in 89 games, which included their drought-breaking 2016 premiership.
