Kenny Britt could be the Philadelphia Eagles’ newest receiver.

The Philadelphia Eagles have been linked to just about every receiver set to hit the open market. Alshon Jeffery, DeSean Jackson and Torrey Smith have all been rumored to possibly land in Philadelphia. But it turns out Kenny Britt may be the newest receiver to dawn midnight green.

According to Benjamin Allbright of Denver’s 104.7 FM, the Eagles are expected to sign Britt Thursday, the first day of the new league year. Allbright also reports that DeSean Jackson, who many were hoping would reunited with the Eagles, could be headed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

This isn’t the first we’ve heard of Britt possibly signing with the Eagles. Rumors were circulating Tuesday that Britt was seen in Atlantic City talking about signing with Philadelphia as well.

Britt was originally selected by the Tennessee Titans in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft. After a pair of solid campaigns to start his career, he tore his ACL and MCL in 2011 and became a distraction off the field. The Titans cut ties with Britt, who then signed with the Rams, who were in St. Louis at the time.

Britt had a career year with the Rams last season, recording 68 receptions for 1,002 yards (both career highs) and five touchdowns. Considering he was playing for a Rams team that ranked second-to-last in passing offense in 2016, those numbers are pretty incredible.

Part of what made him so successful last season was wide receivers coach Mike Groh. Groh was hired by the Eagles earlier this offseason, which could be a major selling point for Britt’s reported signing with Philadelphia.
