Bennie Logan would be fun signing for Packers

Bennie Logan has been an anchor on the Eagles defensive line the last four seasons.

Bennie Logan put together a strong career for the Philadelphia Eagles. He his not known to be a strong pass rusher, but while playing nose and defensive tackle, Logan is considered as one of the best run stoppers in the game.

Logan will be a free agent in March and believes that he would be a fun signing for the Green Bay Packers. Here’s what Gregg Rosenthal of had to say about Logan.

The Packers are now in the offseason and there’s a lot of work to be done to get ready for next season.

GM Ted Thompson doesn’t often invest in free agents, but he has a great track record of success when he tries. Logan would be an excellent run-stopping partner to pair with Mike Daniels and could end Green Bay’s never-ending quest to replace the early career version of B.J. Raji.

In fairness to the Packers, they are set at defensive line. Logan would be an upgrade at the nose tackle position, but the Packers drafted Kenny Clark last year and started to come into his own towards the end of the season.

The Packers also have Letroy Guion under contract and he had a solid season. And because of the defensive line, the Packers finished eight in the NFL in run defense. So as good of a signing Logan would be, the Packers will likely focus their attention on positions in need when it comes to free agency.
