St George Illawarra prop Jack de Belin might have missed the Dragons game against Newcastle due to suspension but it appears he still found a way to keep himself busy.
The 26-year-old budding representative player was pulled over for a chat by Fox Sports commentator Brett Finch but had a hard time looking into the camera with the cheerleaders dancing up a storm behind him.
De Belin eventually managed to prise his eyes away from the action – and looked a little bit sheepish in doing so – after being given a tap by Finch that the show was over and it was time to chat.
The incident was brought to light on the Monday Night with Matty Johns show, with panel member Nathan Hindmarsh drawing comparisons to Fox Sports commentator Braith Anasta after he was also caught on camera looking at cheerleaders before a live cross.
However, Hindmarsh came up with a different explanation for de Belin’s actions and maintained there was a legitimate reason behind them.
“Jack’s a choreographer, he’s taught dance so he was just making sure everyone was in time,” Hindmarsh said tongue-in-cheek.
