Vin Diesel vows to make Paul Walker ‘proud’ of Fast And Furious 8

Vin Diesel has once again proved that he misses his beloved friend, the late Paul Walker as the actor shared an emotional post on Instagram ahead of his film Fast and Furious 8’s trailer release. In the post, the American actor/producer has promised to make the late actor “proud” of the franchise.

The 49-year-old, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film xXx: Return Of Zander Cage, has shared a picture of him along with Walker. He captioned the image: “So proud of this franchise, built on brotherhood… loyalty. Wait until you see this next chapter… I have pledged to make Pablo proud… All love.”

This is not the first time Diesel has shared his emotions for the late actor, who died in a tragic car crash on 23 November 2013. The xXx actor paid rich tributes to his friend by naming his daughter Pauline.

Walker was last seen in the seventh movie in the series, where he was seen playing the role of Brian O’Conner. After the actor’s death, the producers decided to complete film of the seventh episode, by seeking Walker’s brothers Caleb and Cody’s help.

Fans flocked theatres to see their favourite star in action one last time. The fate of the upcoming movie, which is set to release without Walker’s presence, will rely more on stars including Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Diesel himself.

The first trailer of the highly anticipated action thriller will be released on 11 December at Times Square, New York. The plot and synopsis of the movie have been kept a secret, but from the constant social media updates, it is confirmed that the cast will be globetrotting during their adventure. The movie will largely be based in New York.

Helmed by F Gary Gray, part of Fast 8 has been filmed in Atlanta and Russia, and the movie is currently under post production. Universal Pictures has scheduled to release of Fast 8 in April 2017.
